Let's Get Back to December

We have finally reached the last month of the year! Customary to this season is for companies to hold a Christmas party for their employees, and ours was just held last Sunday Dec 4. This is my 2nd Christmas party at the same company for a long time now and everything went nice and I really enjoyed the event.

I went to the venue very early at around 4pm, the organizers announced that registration starts at 5:30pm, but there are a number of people lining up when I arrived. So I decided to eat snacks first at Starbucks within the venue in Oakridge.

It took almost 30 mins from when I started to queue until I was finally registered. The venue is big and  with nicely decorated tables and the tent-like ceiling decor makes it feel like you are in a beach resort. A slight problem is with the lights, since they always project the blue tint which does not looks good on pictures.

The food was nice. Although I prefer last year's way, where they put the food per table and you don't have to line up to get food. Anyways, I ate until my stomach was full and satisfied with 4 glasses of iced tea :)

Now we go to the groups presentation. NCR employees really goes a long way preparing for this competition - unlike any companies I've been and maybe it is because the cash prizes given that ranges from 7k to 10k cash, is enough motivation.

"Too much flesh" - the phrase that can summarize the entire event is very apt. The employees at NCR are very talented and entertaining - it was a fun filled night of food, cammaraderie and entertainment.

Though our team did not place, they gave joy to the crowd nonetheless.

2012's theme will be End of the World.

Now get back to work.
